Irish coffee

Hot drink
8 min
Normal
INGREDIENTS
  • 100 ml of coffee (brewed)
  • 20 ml of liquid cane sugar (or 2 teaspoons of regular sugar)
  • 40 ml of whiskey
  • 40 ml pastry cream (30% G.M; very cold)
MATERIALS
  • Espresso machine
  • Milk jug
  • Tall glass
  • Bowl
  • 1 stirrer/blender
  • 1 small spoon
PREPARATION
  1. Mix the sugar and the whiskey. Heat in the microwave or in a saucepan.
  2. Make the coffee (which should be about the same temperature as the sweetened whiskey).
  3. Pour the coffee into the glass with whiskey. So that there are differentiated layers between the whiskey and the coffee you have to put a small spoon inclined at the angle of 90º. And then, slowly pour the coffee over the whiskey using the convex part of the spoon.
  4. Whip the cream until it turns into whipped cream. It is important that the cream has 30% fat content and is very cold. Otherwise it will not be voluminous. Pour it over the coffee.
  5. If you want you can decorate it with chocolate shavings.
